Move, Move, Move!!!

Those who lead an active life will live longer and healthier. Our body is created so that in order to live you need air, food and water. And in order to live healthy life, you need to move. Nowadays most of people bring it to minimum. It’s crazy, but if an average American will count how many minutes he spend walking, he will laugh at it.

 

Let us imagine the normal day of a person. You get up in the morning and have 15-30 seconds walk to the bathroom and the same back. Maximum a minute to and from bathroom. Then you dress up and walk to the kitchen, which is nearly 1 minute maximum. Make coffee, toasts, maybe omelet, which all together takes you nearly 3 minutes walk. It is just couple steps there and back: to fridge and back, to storage and back, to toaster and back, etc. And all together it takes not more than 3 minutes. Checked, it is a fact.

 

Then you walk back to the room to take everything necessary for work and go back to the entrance, which takes you 2 minutes of walk. Half a minute to garage, even if garage is not that close, let it be a minute. Then drive to work, which doesn’t need any activity. Then walk to the office, which can take you up to 20 minutes. That is probably the most activity of the day. Anyway, this is the ideal case, normally it takes 10 minutes. But let it be 20.

 

During the day you may not get off your backside, sitting just in front of computer the whole day. One hour break and you move either to the nearest store to buy some food or to the café to the next corner. It can take up to 30 minutes walk. Then the same schedule back. Where to cook dinner, not warming up the frozen pizza, but making a real dinner, it will take you 15 minutes walk around the kitchen. Then bathroom 1 minute, bed 1 minute and that’s it. To sum up, you walk 1 hour and 29 minutes a day. But the doctors say in order to stay healthy you should walk at least 2 hours a day. This is just the minimum that a person needs to activate blood circulation, train the joints and stimulate muscles. This seems not that much.

 

When you take care of your health, you better walk outside for 2 hours. Fresh air and at least some activity will influence your body only positively. But taking into consideration the fact that we don’t have any activity at all and spend our day sitting in front of computer, you better go to gym.
